Starbucks at Home!

Most days, I love living in the country. I love the quiet nights, the bright sky, room for the kids to run around, sitting on the porch in my pajamas.....and much, much, more.


However, I do have 2 things that make me crazy about it.


1. No pizza delivery (I won't even go here today, it makes me so crazy. Ohhhhh, how jealous I am of all my friends in town who can just call and "POOF" hot gooey pizza, Grrrr....it's just a part of life I struggle to accept)


2. No Starbucks


I have a favorite Starbucks drink for Summer, Fall and Winter. I try to imitate them all at home....sometimes successfully, sometimes it's just not the same.


For Summer and Spring- Shaken Iced Tea Passion Lemonade with Melon Sweetener
For Fall- Half Caff 2% Pumpkin Spice Latte
For Winter- NF Half Caff Peppermint Mocha


Here is some of the ingredients I attempt to use. If I can't find the pumpkin creamer in the store, I will mix some cream and splenda with pumpkin pie spice! I meant to take a photo of the finished product, but I forgot and drank it all. Sorry, I tend to get excited when it's ready.

Flip Flop Road

Last week I was having one of those days. I didn't know if I was washin' or hangin' out! I had all the kids in the car with me. Cohen was screaming in his car seat, and Ames joined in. Calee was singing a Broadway show tune at the top of her lungs.


As I was driving, I saw someone had dropped a flip flop in the middle of the road ahead of me. I caught myself looking down to see if it was mine. It was not a similar color or design, but my first instinct was that I had lost my shoe.


I just laughed out loud. Calee looked at me like I was nuts!


Keep your shoes on people! It might put crazy mothers like me over the edge!

You were purchased on a whim








For a mere $7






Meant for just one weekend






After my fancy stainless steel poured it's last cup






You have managed to survive several seasons






While you have served your purpose well






Helping me brew the magic wake up juice






While sticking out like a big white sore thumb






I do appreciate your simpleness






But you have no timer






And you look stained






Ever after several vinegar cleanings and dishwasher runs






Its time to trade you in

Why do online stores have to be open 24/7? If they would just close at 9 p.m. like everybody else I would be sleeping and NOT shopping at 3 a.m.
